In 2013 and in 2014, Croatia was hit by two devastating floods, respectively in the area of Sava river and of Danube river, causing immense damages to the Country.
On 11th June 2013, the peak of the event was recorded with a corresponding measured flow of 8,374 m3 / s, value that did not occur from over 90 years, with heavy consequences for all the Countries in the Balkan area that overlook Danube river.
For Croatia, the event of 2014 was even more devastating, when the heavy rainfalls in the second half of April and at the beginning of May caused unexpected floods, erosion and landslides, but also disastrous floods along Sava river and its tributaries.
As a result of these events, Croatia has taken many initiatives for land defense from flood risk, including the choice to equip many villages of tractor driven mobile pumps, used to drain flooded areas.
In 2016, Veneroni company was awarded a public tender for the supply of sixteen galvanized ATN mobile pumps.
