It begins in March, with the blooming of crocuses, followed by daffodils and hyacinths. Finally, the wonderful colors of tulips appear: the flower season in the Netherlands is an amazing sight.
But growing bulbs is a complex activity and climate change certainly makes the job of Dutch growers even more difficult. The use of water lifting pumps in the field helps the correct growth of the bulbs in several ways. Periodically flooding the land where the flower bulbs are planted allows to eliminate fungi and diseases such as nematodes, and consequently reduce the use of pesticides.
At the same time, the use of pumps is a guarantee to avoid that long periods of drought ruin the harvest, or that excessive rains leave the bulbs under water for too long, suffocating.
The Dutch growers have chosen Veneroni as their partner for the supply of 25 painted and galvanized ATN mobile pumps.
